Snap Shot - Annie Grenz - 1991

I was born at mercy Hospital in Valley City, ND on June 5, 1942.  I used to hate being called the baby of the family.  Now, being introduced in that fashion is fine, since it only means that I am the youngest.  While I was growing up, it never seemed to me that there were so many of us since there were never more than four or five at home at one time.

I grew up on the farm near Tower City.  I attended school at Tower city, graduating from High School in 1959.  I worked as a bookkeeper in Valley City for two years.  On Aug. 26, 1962, i married John Myers from Rogers, ND.  We lived in Wahpeton for a year while John finished his education at the State School of Science there.  After graduating, he accepted a job with IBM in Cedar Rapids, IA.  We lived in Cedar Rapids for two years, then bought a home in Marion, IOA, where we lived for 25 years.  In 1990, we moved to another house at 1825 29th Avenue in Marion.

After being a homemaker and mother for fifteen years, I decided to take a few classes at a local community college.  After working as an Accounts Receivable clerk for a local firm for fine years, I now work as A Data Entry clerk.

John still works for IBM as he has for the past 28 years.

We enjoy traveling, and are looking forward to doing more of it when we retire.  meanwhile, John enjoys woodworking, and we both spend a lot of time reading, playing golf and playing cards with friends.
