Doug Plecity,
70, Valley City, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2006, in
Mercy Hospital, Valley City.
Mr. Plecity was born March 12, 1936, in Valley City, where
he grew up and attended school. On Dec. 5, 1954, he married
Annitha Grenz in Valley City. In 1955, he began working for
Plecity and Sons House Moving and Excavating. In 1964, he
began working for Electrical Builders, Valley City. In 1969,
he purchased Plecity and Sons House Moving and Excavating
and Plecity's Mobile Home Park. He retired in 1999.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Rock (Connie), Valley
City, Lonny, Tucson, Ariz.; two daughters, Rhonda (Lee)
Olsberg, Valley City, Lori (Andrew) Lychy, Toronto, Canada;
four brothers, Duane (Janice), Nome, N.D., Dennis, Roger
(Sharon), both Fargo, Richard (Jane), Valley City; three
sisters, Janice (Darrell) Olson, Lancaster, Calif., Sharon
Hennick, Bakersfield, Calif., Peggy Zaun, Valley City; 10
grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday from 3 to 7, with a prayer service at 7,
in Lerud-Johnson-Schuldt Funeral Home, Valley City, and
Wednesday from 10 to 11 in Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley
City.
Funeral: Wednesday at 11 in the church.
Burial: Memory Gardens Cemetery near Valley City
