Google Maps will take you to that specific village. Or, on the left side

The Grenz family name first appears in Germany, so far, with
Ewald Grenz in 1661 Next earliest
is Thilmann Grenz in 1706. Michael Grenz appears in 1765 in the Holstein area on the Volga River in
Russia. Our earliest record in Samland, Prussia is 1790 for
Christof Grenz. Gottlieb and Samuel Grenz are found in 1795 in the
Ukraine, which at that time was South Russia, in the town of Gueldendorf just outside of Odessa and other
small villages in the region. |

Not all villages listed in the ancestry are included.,
either because of incorrect spelling or are not in the Data base of
Virtual Earth or Google Earth. Mistakes may occur for the following
reasons: many villages are listed in either Russian, or
Ukrainian, or both. Many have multiple spellings depending on which
map one looks at, or who provided the information. There are multiple villages and towns with the
same name. Great care has been taken to try and list the correct
name with the correct town. If a mistake is noticed please let me
know.
