native of the Napoleon area, died
Nov 18, at Oklahoma City, Okla.
His death was due to pneumonia
after a lingering illness.
After services on Saturday at
Shattuck, Oklahoma, where Rev.
Richard had been pastor since
April, the body was brought to
Napoleon where services were held
Monday at the Baptist Church.
Burial was at Napoleon Cemetery.
Graduated from Napoleon High
School in 1935, and graduated from
the seminary in Rochester, NY in
1940. During his training,
he served a church at New Leipzig
from 1938 to 1939. In 1940
he served at Neustadt, Ont.
Canada, until 1943 when he served
at Cathay Until 1947. He
then served at Alpena, Mich. until
1952. He served at Sioux
Falls, SD until 1955, at Underwood
until 1960, at Billings, Montana
until May 1971, when he moved to
Shattuck, Okla. Three
children survive, Lyle, Houston;
Stanley, Boulder, Colorado, and
Janice, Denver, Colo.

Received his early education in
Napoleon and then went on to
seminary at the North American
Baptist Seminary which was then
located in Rochester, NY.
For 31 years, he served as pastor
in several North American Baptist
Churches.
