Obituary

Dennis O. Pfeifer
, age 64, of Hayden, ID, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2006 at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d’Alene. Dennis was born on October 2, 1941 in Missoula, MT to Otto & Martha (Kost) Pfeifer. His family eventually moved to Yakima, WA where Dennis graduated from Eisenhower H.S. in 1959. Dennis was drafted into the Army in 1966 and spent his military duty in Puerto Rico, as a Medical Technologist ending in 1968. He then worked for Boise Cascade as a supervisor until 1975, at which time he began working for Potlatch Corp. at the Post Falls Particleboard Plant.

Dennis is survived by his wife of over 18 years, Lona; daughter Jocelyn Pfeifer of Dallas, TX; his son, Jay Pfeifer & wife Ana, and 2 beautiful grandchildren, Isabel and Nathaniel of San Antonio, TX; sisters Charlene Septka and Sandra Evans in Yakima, WA; brother Delbert & wife Judy Pfeifer in LaVerne, CA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews in Yakima and Othello, WA, as well as his 2 favorite Scotty pals, Barney & Bailey (Cutie). He was preceded in death by his sister, Lili Ann Lenseigne in 1952, his father in 1983, and his mother in 1998.

Dennis had a very special quality … he was able to make you laugh whether you’d known him for 5 seconds or 5 years. He was a kind, gentle spirit with a loving nature. He also had the ability to bring out the BEST in others. His passion was his COMPUTER, and everyone looked to Dennis for his help with theirs. He loved listening to all kinds of music, and enjoyed all the older movies. He was an avid golfer in years past. The ‘love of his life’ was his beloved Scotty, Bugsy.
