Dorothy Ann (Munsch) Wilkin
, 63, Kelsey, Calif., passed away on Oct.
15, 2015, after a brief illness. A memorial service will be
held at 10:30 a.m. PST Saturday, Nov. 14, at Landmark
Missionary Baptist Church, 7150 Wildwood Place, Granite Bay,
Calif.
Dorothy was born June 17, 1952, in Bismarck. She grew up on
a farm near Baldwin, where she loved riding her horse,
Prince. In 1968, after her mother had passed away, she moved
to California to live with her sister, Marylyn (Lawrence)
McRay. In 1970, she graduated from Casa Robles High School,
Orangevale, Calif. Dorothy met her husband, William "Bill'
Wilkin at the local grocery store and they were married on
July 11, 1970.
Dorothy was employed at Marshall Hospital, Placerville,
Calif. She continued her education and in 2000 graduated
from Sierra College as a registered nurse. After graduating,
she continued to work as an RN at Marshall Hospital, until
she passed away.
Dorothy's favorite pastimes were being a grandmother,
crocheting, reading various books (her favorite was the Holy
Bible), attending her church faithfully (where she loved and
was loved by all of the members) and watching the San
Francisco Giants with her husband, her sons and their
families.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Bill; their sons, Rusty,
Will, James (Mavis) and Joshua (Kira); her sister, Marylyn
McRay, Wichita, Kan.; her sister-in-law, Grace, Bismarck; 11
grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Emma
(Serr) Munsch; her sister and brother-in-law, Maxine and
Harold Zuroff; her brother, Elmer Munsch; as well as
numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
