Harold Grenz, 91, passed peacefully into the arms of his Lord on Monday, October 30, 2017, in Sunnyside, WA.
Harold was born in Artas, South Dakota, on September 19, 1926 and moved with his parents and family to the Yakima Valley in 1936.

On October 29, 1948, he married Betty Van Corbach, from Granger, WA, and together they made their home near Zillah, where they raised their 3 children. Harold and Betty’s 69th wedding anniversary was just the day before his passing.

He is survived by his wife, Betty of Sunnyside, and sons, James (Kay) of Mount Vernon, WA and Larry (Carole) of Santee CA, and daughter Doris Gill (Don) of Sunnyside, WA; 1 brother, Larry Grenz, and sister, Marlene McCloud, both of Zillah; 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Martha Grenz, son, Calvin, grandson, Jason, 2 sisters, Olivia and Ella, and a brother, Alvin.

Harold was a farmer at heart all his life, but after 20 years as an orchardist, moved into Zillah where he and Betty enjoyed their retirement years. Harold also worked at James Rivers Paper Products in Sunnyside for over 38 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, playing cards, and visiting family and friends. He will be greatly, greatly missed.
