Leona Kiemele, 84, Bismarck, died December 3,
2005, at a Bismarck hospital.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at
11:00 AM at Bismarck Baptist Church with Pastors
Don Burnett, Clyde Leimberer, and LeRoy Kiemele
officiating. Burial will be at the Linton City
Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 - 9:00 PM and
Tuesday from 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM at Eastgate Funeral
Service. The family will be receiving visitors at
the funeral home from 7:00 - 9:00 PM on Tuesday.
Visitation will continue Wednesday one hour prior
to the service at the church.
Leona was born on February 21, 1921, in Emmons
County, North Dakota, the daughter of Henry Sr.
and Louisa (Grenz) Serr. She married Edward H.
Kiemele on November 11, 1941. They farmed north of
Temvik, North Dakota, until moving to Linton,
North Dakota, in 1968. Edward died on December 16,
1972. Leona moved to Bismarck in 1979. She was
currently a resident at the Baptist Home in
Bismarck.
Leona was a member of Bismarck Baptist Church.
She is survived by three children and their
spouses, Wayne and Eileen Kiemele of Linton, Myra
and Bill Ehrman, and Pamela Kiemele, all of
Bismarck; five grandchildren; eight
great-grandchildren; one sister, Martha Roe of
Olympia, Washington; and one brother, Henry Serr
of Hazelton, North Dakota.
Leona was preceded in death by her parents; her
husband, Edward; seven sisters; and four brothers.
The family prefers memorials to Bismarck Baptist
Church or the Baptist Home.
