Maxine Zuroff, age 68 of Hebron died Friday
August 11, 2006 at the Sakakawea Medical Center in Hazen of
injuries from an automobile accident. Funeral services will
be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, August 16, at the First
Baptist Church in Hebron with the Reverend David Ling,
officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday August 15,
from 4-9 pm with a 7:00 pm family service at the Spangelo
Funeral Home in Hebron. Burial will be in the First United
Methodist Cemetery in Hebron. Maxine was born September 14,
1937 at Linton, North Dakota, the daughter of Emil and Emma
(Serr) Munsch. She was raised and educated at Trygg Township
School. She moved to Bismarck where she worked for a family
helping with the children.
Maxine married Harold Zuroff, Sr. January 14, 1960.
Following marriage they lived at Sterling where Maxine was a
waitress at the Tops Caf?. In the fall of 1962 they moved to
Hebron where Maxine worked at the gas station that they
bought. Maxine worked with Harold on several of the
businesses, later Maxine worked for many years in the
kitchen at the Hebron school as a cook. She was a member of
the United Methodist Church in Hebron. Harold died in
January of 1991. Maxine continued to reside in Hebron after
retirement.
Maxine leaves to mourn, her sons: Ron and his fiance Dorinda
McGannon, of Colorado Springs, CO; Derwin (Carmen), of
Medora, ND; Harold Jr (Sharla), of Hebron, ND; Kevin
(Lynne), of Bismarck, ND and her daughter Tina (Mike)
Steffenson, of Beulah, ND. Maxine also leaves 11
grandchildren: Jennifer Schmidt, Melissa Zuroff, Miranda
Connell, Jesse Zuroff, Kristy Gierke, Brian, Mike, and Kim
Zuroff; Kale, Ashley, and Emily Steffenson; and seven great
grandchildren as well as her friend of many years, Walter
Schmidt. Maxine is also survived by one brother Elmer Munsch,
Bismarck, ND and two sisters: Marilyn McRay, Ripley, MS; and
Dorothy Wilkens, of Kelsey, CA. She was preceded in death by
her parents and husband. |
