Scott Pfeifer, 44, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at his home in Kenmare, from diabetic complications.

Scott Gerald Pfeifer was born Oct. 12, 1969. He became a son of Gerald and Ollie Ann (Folkers) Pfeifer. Scott lived the first four years of his life in Crosby. In January 1974, the family moved to Bowbells, where Scott was confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church and graduated from Bowbells High School in 1988.
While growing up in a small community, Scott was involved with any school activites, basketball, baseball and especially football, or any community activities. He was never still; there were never any dull moments. Throughout his lifetime, he never met anyone he wouldn't visit with and would assist in any way. He was well known for his "gift of gab" and was always ready to give a "long" explanation.

Most of his life after graduation was spent working in the oil fields in some capacity. He enjoyed working with cattle, which he did on the farm, in Bismarck and St. Anthony. He had a love for mechanics and was especially interested in and proud of his brother Steven's racing career. Scott faced many health challenges throughout his lifetime.

He was once married to Ronda Schweitzer.
Scott is survived by: Parents, Jerry and Ollie Ann; sister, Stacey (Chane) Orso; brother, Steven (Karen) Pfeifer: nephews, Connor Sheppard, Sladen Pfeifer, step-nephew Tristan Orso; nieces, Caitlin Sheppard, Acelyn Pfeifer; godparents, Aunt Ruby and Uncle Otto Folkers; several aunts, uncles cousins and friends. His beloved dog and companion Plex also survives.

Scott was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Hilbert Sr. and Gladys Pfeifer, and maternal grandparents, Berend and Anna Folkers.
