Dr. Suzanna Grenz

Dr. Grenz passed away on December 7, 2008. Suzanna began her career at Palomar College on August 24, 2001. She also served as a part time faculty member from 1995.Her academic degrees include a Ph.D. in History from the University of Missouri; M.B.A. in Health Care from National University; and B.A. and M.A. in History from the University of California, Riverside.

Her professional affiliations included: American Historical Association; Organization of American Historians; Southern Historical Association; Missouri State Historical Society; United Way of San Diego.

Our sympathy and warmest thoughts are with her family. Suzanna will be greatly missed.

GRENZ, DR. SUZANNA M., PhD. Born May 9, 1948 - Riverside, CA Died Dec. 7, 2008 - San Diego, CA Professor of American History for over 30 years in the San Diego School District. Her last several years at Mt. Palomar College, and San Marcos Campus.

Suzanna received her Bachelors degree from the University of California - Riverside, CA and her Doctorate degree from the University of Missouri - Columbia, Missouri.

Suzanna touched many lives with her sunny smile and patient ear, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Frances (Pat) Grenz. Survived by her sister, Carol (husband Rosendo) Chacon; niece, Paulina Chacon; great-nephews, Dan (wife Candise) Rose and David Owen; great-great-nephew Dan Rose III.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 16th, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 17th. Both will be held at Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary, Colton, CA.
