Ruth M Grenz Obituary

Ruth M. Satre, age 92 years, of Tigerton passed away, Sunday evening, October 24, 2010 at her home.

The former Ruth Grenz was born on March 31, 1918 in the Town of Seneca, Shawano County, to Richard and Adalia (Suehring) Grenz. On December 10, 1938 she was united in marriage to Harold Satre at the church parsonage in the Town of Pella. Starting in the late 1960's until the early 1990's she worked as a part-time custodian for First National Bank in Tigerton. Ruth was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Tigerton. Her husband Harold Sr. preceded her in death on July 15, 1998.

Survivors include one son, Harold (Elizabeth) Satre Jr. of rural Tigerton, four grandchildren; Beverly (Butch) Redman of Menasha, Marge (Charlie) Johnson of Merrill, John (Kate) Hoffman of rural Tigerton, and Robert (Lynelle) Hoffman of Ringle. Further survived by numerous great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. Ruth is preceded in death by her husband.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, October 27th at 11:00 a.m. at the Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Tigerton. Rev. Matthew Uttenreither will officiate and burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Tigerton. Friends may call on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.


 
Harold Sarte Jr. Obituary

Harold Satre Jr., age 80, of Tigerton passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at Homme Home of Wittenberg.

Harold was born on July 20, 1939 in Tigerton to Harold and Ruth (Grenz) Satre Sr. He graduated from
Tigerton High School in 1957. Harold entered the Army National Guard in Clintonville and served with
the 127th Infantry Unit for three years. Harold was a truck mechanic at FWD Corporation in Clintonville
for 40 years; and he retired from Seagrave Fire Apparatus in 2010. He was united in marriage on May 24,
1980 to Elizabeth Bella-Hoffman at Zion Lutheran Church in Tigerton.

Harold was a longtime member of St. Martin Lutheran Church. He was a skilled mechanic who could fix
any kind of vehicle. After retirement, he got certified in automotive air conditioning and repaired
vehicles all around the area. His favorite pastime was going fishing whenever possible by the family
cabin. Harold will be remembered most for his excellent sense of humor and his funny comments known as
“Haroldisms” to the grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Elizabeth; and four stepchildren, Beverly (Raymond) Redman
of Greenville, Marjorie (Charles) Johnson of Merrill, John (Kate) Hoffman of Tigerton, and Robert
(Lynelle) Hoffman of Ringle. There are 11 step grandchildren, 24 step great grandchildren, and many
other relatives and friends. Harold was preceded in death by his parents and a step grandson, Lucas Anderson.

Private Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, May 23rd at Union Cemetery in Tigerton with
Rev. Brian Weber officiating. Military Honors will be provided by members of the American Legion
Post 239 of Tigerton. Beil-Didier Funeral Home of Tigerton is assisting with the arrangements.
