* Oscar was born and raised on the family farm. He served in the CCC's during the years of 1935 to 1938 at Fort Lincoln, ND. After working on surrounding farms for a few years, he married Irene in 1941. After a few years of farming on Neighboring forms, they purchased Irene's parents' Homestead farm.. They retired and purchased a home in Linton, ND.
