                  Jacob had traveled to Canada to see 
                  about some land but was stopped at the border as he had 
                  forgotten his passport.  When he returned home, he became 
                  ill with flue and pneumonia and 
                  died.  Interment in Hannover, Kansas.  The family 
                  moved back to Linton, DD, from Kansas around 1921 or 1922.

                  *Snap Shot:  Adam Pfeifer, who lived on 
                  a farm southwest of town, was struck by a bolt of lightening 
                  during the thunder storm Tuesday afternoon.  He died 
                  instantly. he was standing in the doorway of the barn at the 
                  time.  Burial was made yesterday. He was a young man 
                  still in the prime of his life and his death is mourned
